Give arrivals a place to land

A thoughtful entry can be a very small one.

List the things you bring through the door most often. Find a practical place for each without blocking the doorway or walking route. Start with storage you already own.

Fit the routine

A place for shoes, a hook within easy reach and a spot for keys may be enough. Choose what helps your household rather than copying a layout built for a different home.

Review the overflow

If seasonal items crowd the space, keep only the ones in frequent use near the door. Return anything you move to a clear, accessible home elsewhere.
